This section of the site is to provide information on the Amityville 2 DVD.
I will be including a few screen grabs from the disc (including the menus), the entire photo gallery (which is the only special feature - I never count scene selection or subtitles as special features) and whatever else I can get from the disc.

Disk Specifications & Review
The Amityville 2 disc does not offer much in the way of special features, It does include a photo gallery which includes a few images which don't appear to be present within the film.
The menu for the movie is well presented and the menu for the scene access is good as it plays a small snippet from each chapter in each individual window which looks really cool (It's a bit like watching the movie on 8 or 9 different minature TV sets).
The booklet which comes with the movie is pretty good; It describes the first movie (The Amityville Horror) and talks about the "true" story and the history of the Ronald DeFoe case. it then goes on to describe the diferent directorial techniques employed by Damiani within the film itself.
The actual movie is presented in a 4:3 (full screen) ratio which is a bit of a shame as I have seen this movie showing on the Sci-Fi channel in a widescreen ratio.
The print of the movie is a bit scratchy in palces but is of a pretty decent quality but unfortunatly the film does not include the scene where you see Mr Montelli get shot which is a pity (and a bit confusing as the print shown by ITV in the early 90's included this scene, of course the scene where Jan put the plastic bag over Marc's head was missing from this version but IS included on the DVD).
Also the disc is only avaliable in Region 2

I just saw a DVD of Amityville 4 - The Evil Escapes on Region 2 at a film convention the other week (26/01/01).
